The collection contains stock certificates in mining and land companies in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Durant Barclay, Jr. industrial photographs
The collection consists of industrial photographs taken by the donor during the duration of his studio's operation in Virginia, Minnesota which closed in 1956. Mr. Barclay continued shooting for industrial clients through 1963.
Beukema mining collection
Collection contains: August 4, 1892, letter from Henry W. Oliver to Leonidas Merritt, president of Mt. Iron Company; $100,000 United States Steel Corporation Gold Bond (paid) to Andrew Carnegie; A September 16, 1904, canceled and paid check to Oliver Iron Mining Co. for $835,892.94.
B'nai Abraham (Virginia, Minn.) Synagogue records

Charles Foster photograph albums

Other Minnesota and South Dakota city buildings are also documented. Some of the photographs are by professional Duluth photographer Hugh McKenzie.

Mining Inspection Tour film
The collection contains one 16mm, black and white, silent film (17 min.) of a 1936 mining inspection trip and tour conducted by U.S. Steel and Ford, Bacon, and Davis, Inc. The tour included Duluth, Minnesota and the surrounding area including the iron range.
No Place For A Woman radio broadcast
The collection consists of a radio program and sidebar topics by producers, researchers, and writers Catherine Winter and Stephanie Hemphill broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio in September 2005. The CD was made and distributed in September 2005 by American Public Media whose documentary unit is American RadioWorks.
A Railroad in Change transcript
The collection consists of the transcript of a slide lecture, which described the history of the Duluth Missabe & Iron Range Railroad and the predominant role it played in the development of the Vermilion and Mesabi Ranges; the eventual decline of red ores; and the growth of the taconite pellet industry in Minnesota.
